GANNET Communications, a subsidiary of ISAVIA, operates a communications service for flights over the North Atlantic using High Frequency (HF) and Very High Frequency (VHF) communication technology. The company is based at the Gufunes Communications Center and serves as a vital node for secure and efficient communications with aircraft and air traffic control centers, flight operators, weather bureaus and other parties associated with air transport.
Tern Systems is a subsidiary of ISAVIA. It specializes in system solutions relating to air traffic control. Since its establishment in 1997 the company’s objective has been to bolster research, development of air traffic management systems for the Reykjavik ACC and more recently for clients outside of Iceland.
